Community Transport

Dial-A-Ride
provides transport in and around Rhayader in a wheelchair accessible VW caddy. Membership is open to all residents for an annual fee and trip fares.
Trips include to the surgery, dentist, shops, social clubs and hairdressers.

Community Car Scheme
Hospital, health-related and other social transport for residents who cannot drive themselves or get to appointments. The drivers are volunteers and receive a mileage allowance from passengers. There is a small booking fee towards admin costs. Some passengers may be eligible for free Non-emergency patient transport or may claim back travel costs from the hospital.

Community Minibus
We have a 16 seater minibus that we use for outings near and far. Popular destinations include Hereford, Carmarthen and Aberystwyth as well as afternoon tea in the Elan Valley or at Llandrindod Wells lake.

The minibus is also available for hire to local non-profit groups and organisations.
