Wellbeing Activities Project
As well as developing our Cooking Club we are planning a programme of exciting activities over the summer; from country nature rambles, to electric bike rides, demonstrations at our allotment and other gentle exercise such as chair yoga.
Cooking Club sessions will be starting again in February at The Lost Arc in Rhayader and at Pant-y-dwr Community Hall. If you are interested in joining the groups, please call us at The Arches to book a place.
Cooking Club is for all ages to learn and share cooking skills, tips on healthy eating and a chance to sit down together to enjoy good food.
Making Rhayader a 'Dementia Friendly' Town
We are working with the Co-op Community Ambassador and Dementia Matters in Powys to help make our town a safe and supportive community for those living with memory problems and dementia. Look out for 'Dementia Friends' training sessions and our renowned 'Memory Circle' runs fortnightly at The Arches.
Welcome to 'Bob' the bus
Thanks to the generosity of the family of Sheila Wright we are the proud owners of an 8-seater MPV. We hope to start regular round trips to local places of interest for Rhayader residents as part of 'Bob's Club'.
Dial A Ride Renewals
Dial-A-Ride Membership fees are due for 2020 - completed renewal forms need to be returned to Katie with the annual membership fee by the end of January.
It would also be very much appreciated if you could help us by completing one of our Community Transport Surveys.
